Nigeria to start issuing visa on arrival at the point of entry to all persons holding African passports.

From January 2020, Nigeria will start issuing a visa on arrival at the point of entry to all persons holding passports of African countries, President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed.

The president who identified free movement as one of the barriers hindering free movement in Africa said Nigeria has already taken strategic decisions to bring down the barriers.

He stated this while speaking on Wednesday during the opening session of the ongoing Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa, taking place in Egypt.

  1. Now that the president is planning to waive the visa requirements for non-immigrant visas, this will surely create a way for tourism to grow in Nigeria. Aside from it will also encourage more investors to put investments in Nigeria which will be beneficial for the local Nigerian.
