Dr. Sarah Alade has resigned from the position of Deputy Governor, Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Dr Alade has spent 23 years at the CBN and was first appointed deputy governor on March 26, 2007.
CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, at a dinner held in Alade’s honour, said that she was leaving at a time when the ovation was loudest.
“She did so well and I had excellent relationship working with her,” he said.
Dr. Alade also served as acting CBN governor from February to June 2014 after former governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was suspended by ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan.
