The next time you order a takeaway pizza or a Saturday night curry, you might want to stop and think just how much they will cost.
Not the £20 spent on a large Hawaiian, per se, but the cost of all those times you just could not be bothered to cook.
New analysis of Britain’s spending habits shows that within the £1.9 million the average household will fork out during a lifetime, almost £14,000 will be spent on takeaways.
That’s part of an average £217,693 that we will hand over on recreation and culture – everything from a trip to the cinema or theatre to a night down the pub.
