June inflation dips to 15.91 per cent

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said Nigeria’s headline inflation dropped marginally to 15.91 per cent in the month of June. 

This was contained in its June Consumer Price Index Report (CPI), which stressed that the figure was a 0.2 percent reduction from the 15.93 per cent recorded in the preceding month.

It went to state that the June’s figure was lower than the 25.29 per cent recorded June 2025.

“The month-on-month headline inflation rate in June 2026 was 1.66 per cent, which was 0.09 per cent lower than the rate recorded in May 2026 (1.75 per cent).”
